Moth Transport Adjusts Operations While Pursuing New License
Moth Transport is restructuring its operations after receiving new guidance from the New Mexico CCD. Although the company passed its most recent inspection, regulators informed the team that a Class I manufacturing license is required for Moth to continue operating under its current model. The company has begun the licensing process, with an architect already engaged to start the facility planning required for the application.
While the license is being pursued, Moth will temporarily operate through two licensed facilities. Products will be stored and manifested through Gonzo Family Farms in Albuquerque, which will serve as the primary manifest location. Southern New Mexico orders will be handled through Mylar in Las Cruces, where products will be re-manifested for deliveries in that region.
For vendors and partners, the ordering process will remain largely the same. Orders should continue to be placed through the Moth app, but all manifests should now be directed to the Gonzo Family Farms license in Albuquerque. Pickups and drop-offs will still occur at Moth’s current San Pedro location, with the additional licensed premises being used primarily for compliant storage and manifesting.
The temporary arrangement allows Moth to remain operational while the company works toward securing its own Class I manufacturing license.
