New Mexico CCD Issues First NCA Of 2026 To Texas Based Lounge

The New Mexico CCD has issued its first Notice of Contemplated Action (NCA) for 2026, LazyDaze ABQ LLC and its listed controller. The business, which holds a state license for a consumption area, is accused of multiple serious regulatory violations.

According to the CCD, inspections on July 23, October 21, and December 1 of 2025 revealed that LazyDaze was manufacturing and selling orally consumable products without a required manufacturing license. Additionally, the company was allegedly selling products outside its designated retail area, failing to provide proof of required lab testing, operating without a valid food permit, and allowing on-site consumption without securing proper local approvals.

The CCD cited five violations in total, backed by testimony, inspection reports, and photo/ video evidence. The agency has given the business 20 days to request a formal hearing or settlement discussion. If LazyDaze fails to respond, disciplinary action will move forward by default, with no opportunity for appeal.

LazyDaze started in 2004 as a small headshop in Austin, Texas, rooted in counterculture and alternative lifestyle retail. They operate multiple locations in the U.S.,

This case—filed as CCD Case No. 2026-001—marks the year’s first public enforcement move by regulators, perhaps setting a tone for stricter oversight across the state’s adult-use and medical markets.
