Juicy J Recall In Missouri
The Missouri Division of Regulation recalled Juicy J’s Cherry Limeade infused pre-rolls after random state testing detected Aspergillus. No adverse reactions have been reported. The product was manufactured by CCMRB Processing in Waynesville, whose ownership is also associated with Michigan operator Common Citizen and Missouri retailer Fresh Karma.
This is more interesting after yesterday’s Arizona story. Missouri began independently double-checking licensed laboratories last year after testing data raised questions about substantial differences between labs. One unidentified laboratory handled 82% of Missouri testing yet reported an Aspergillus failure rate below 0.5%, versus 3.3% among the state’s other labs and roughly 3.8% nationally.
Now the state’s verification testing has actually produced a recall.
Missouri also issued another recall this month involving products containing cannabinoids created through chemical modification, conversion or synthetic derivation, making this the state’s second product recall in September.
