Purple City Genetics Hotel Room Raided During MJBizCon

During this years MJBizCon, there was already much confusion around whether seeds, clones, or live products could be displayed, consumed, or sold. That confusion spilled beyond the event and into one brand’s hotel room.

Purple City Genetics (PCG) had their hotel room raided. Employees were arrested and jailed. Tens of thousands of dollars in product were confiscated. A jarring experience for the entire team. Allegedly, they were told they couldn’t display the clones at the event and were forced to keep them in the hotel. When housekeeping entered the room, they were alarmed by the number of plants and called the police.

The outcome of the raid remains unclear, but the chaos only deepens the uncertainty for license holders and future events.
